Every Real American IS a Constitutionalist....

I ate lunch at Katie's today (she's a great cook). While I was in the dining room waiting to be served I struck up a conversation with a fellow that works here in town but he is from Cape. We got to talking about Easter weekend and what we did. He told me that he and his family went out of state and I told him that I went to the St. Louis area to do a fundraiser for my brother, Paul.

He asked about Paul and what party he was affiliated with and so on. I stated that Paul was running on the Republican ticket and that I considered Paul to be a "Constitutionalist." Anyone that knows Paul would agree. When I said this the man made a face that was similar to one made by someone who had just been baptized in a mixture of caster oil and vinegar!

The man then proceeded to tell me how much of southeast Missouri was dependent on federal programs and if we got rid of them southeast Missouri as we know it would "dry up!" Funny how he correlated being a Constitutionalist with someone who was in general against federal programs. Maybe not funny but definitely interesting.

My first response to the face he made was one of internal disbelief and shock. My friends, to be a Constitutionalist means that you believe in the principles of our Constitution and the intent of the founding fathers who penned and agreed upon it. If you say we cannot know precisely their intent because our founding fathers did not know that we would live in a marvelous and wonderful age of technology where information...and arms...could be so readily available to us all, and that their intent was based upon the social situation and technology of the day and not for the future - to that I say...."Get your head out of the sand!"

Our founding fathers constructed a government that would last a millennium and over if, and only if, the the blueprints of which (the "Constitution") were followed adamantly!

That being said, if you are a republican, democrat...or whatever word you use to define yourself and your political ideology, if you refuse to be called a Constitutionalist then do us all a favor and refuse to call yourself an American, because the United States of America was built on the foundation of the United States Constitution, and as Abraham Lincoln said, a house divided against itself cannot stand.

If you are not with us (the Constitutionalists) then you are against us and that makes you the REAL domestic enemy!

Got Teeth?

If you don't own at least one gun I don't see how you can qualify as a true patriot. You may have patriot inclinations but a true patriot is someone who has teeth in their mouth!
